The Highland Railway Class A (or Castle Class) were a fleet of 4-6-0 steam locomotives designed by Peter Drummond for use by the Highland Railway. Later batches were also ordered by Drummond's successor, Frederick Smith. The entirety of the class passed into LMS ownership but were withdrawn before nationalisation and all were scrapped. |
