BOC Tank Wagons (Eras 6 - 8)

Class 47 diesel with a rake of BOC tank wagons

Our newly stocked OO gauge BOC wagons from Olivia's Trains/ Heljan were used on a range of flows across England between the 1970s and late 1990s, carrying compressed Oxygen and Nitrogen to industrial locations and wagon load yards for onward transport by road.

The rakes were well known for the variety of diesel and electric locomotives that hauled them and this diagram showcases some of the formations that could be seen in service. We've covered a selection of locations and train lengths and to provide realistic and inspiring services for your layout.
