Euro Cargo Rail (ECR) is a subsidy of EWS operating in France. Their Class 66's are modifed examples of the general EWS fleet. As well as technical differences there are livery variations between the EWS 66's and the ECR 66's. The ECR locomotives have the large EWS lettering removed from the bodyside, a white French information panel beneath the drivers window and a wasp stripe cow guard on the front
