With the acquisition of all the main freight services, EWS obtained several Class 86 locomotives. In the future each of these locomotives will be painted in the EWS corporate colour and will be seen on the UK rail system where overhead wires are utilised. The correctly coloured Hornby model includes a working pantograph that can pick up current from a suitable overhead power system. The model can also be powered from the track in the conventional way.
